Welcome to Healthcare at the Crossroads: What Can We Do?
I’ve been working in healthcare for over 40 years, moving from a clinical role to administration, to research, to policy, to higher education. Over the years, I’ve worked at hospitals, state government, healthcare associations, academic healthcare centers, and university settings. I’ve also authored eight internationally best-selling healthcare management textbooks. I wanted to make this knowledge more accessible, hence the creation of Healthcare at the Crossroads: What Can We Do?
This publication draws on my experiences plus the experiences of others who have been working in the field for decades. Our goal is to empower you and your family to navigate the healthcare system in an applied, real-world way. Healthcare is inextricably tied to the person(s) and organization(s) providing service and the person(s) receiving the care: it is personal. Our experiences inform our recommendations to you. We hope to have an exchange with readers to create constructive solutions to the wicked problems in healthcare. Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and publication archives.
