Pivot
Redecorating with new and different content

Dear Readers—
A year ago, I created this place to make healthcare knowledge more accessible. In the past 12 months, I’ve found there are others in this venue who do a better job. If you look at my list of Substack recommendations, you will find them.
I’ve decided to pivot and fully embrace my Crazy Cat Lady self. I began my fiction writing horror and science fiction, then moved on to mystery, and found my home in paranormal romance which crosses genres. This publication will now feature my writing wanderings and the works of others who write in similar spaces. If you choose not to continue to follow/subscribe to me, I completely understand. If you like cats, dogs, and eccentric stories, then you’ve come to the right place.
My Crazy Cat Lady avatar (no, I don’t smoke, but my Crazy Cat Lady persona does) is the work of psychology professor and talented artist, Dr. Maria Wong. She has an Etsy store where you can see my pugs in various poses, like the one above! Agent Frank (L) and Igor Valentino (R) would devour the latkes, but they’d be terrible at the dreidel game!
Speaking of dreidels, the holidays are upon us and so is the stress! What to give to whom? Where to go for that perfect gift? I’ve decided to give a jar of Montana’s famous and delicious huckleberry jam and a loaf of my homemade chocolate chip banana bread to my neighbors and friends. Family members are receiving smaller gifts this year, along with a note that a donation has been made in their honor to the Maryland Food Bank. There are many families in need at this time and it’s one way to share the joy of the season with others.
If you want to treat yourself and have some fun, how about a pajama party from the comfort of your own home where you can win prizes? Jingle Bells is the AUDIOBOOK event of the season. Mark your calendar for December 11-12 for fun and a chance to win prizes.
Books are always a great gift and N N Light’s Book Heaven has a holiday gift guide with all the feels! Oh, look! There’s my book!
Looking for some clean stories featuring pets or animal sidekicks? Then these heart-warming tales with pets are for you!
Or maybe you’d like a few laughs? Here’s a bunch of funny, quirky romance stories.
And finally, here’s a book from another author you might enjoy.
Centuries ago, the North Star Pack was cursed for betraying a witch. No wolf shall find their mate.
When Chase takes over as Alpha for his aging father, he knows he will need to take a chosen mate before he turns 30. He doesn’t expect to find his true mate in the human town.
Ainsley took a new job as a veterinarian assistant six months ago, uprooting her life and moving far away from her family was hard but things are going good. Or they were until a wolf is brought in and a handsome stranger comes in to claim him.
Chase must convince Ainsley that the world is not as it seems without telling her his secret. Until a powerful group of witches learn the curse is weakening and comes after Ainsley. When she gets swept up by a world she didn’t know existed, will she choose him or will she go back to her normal life?
Happy holidays from my home to yours,
Sharon

I think you should do what makes you happy! Congratulations on the pivot!
